(Psychische crisis)
For severe psychological distress such as panic, dissociation, loss of functioning, or acute psychiatric symptoms:
Contact your GP (huisarts – general practitioner)
• During office hours: your own GP
• Evenings, nights, weekends: Huisartsenpost (GP out-of-hours service)
Your GP can:
Assess the situation
Contact the GGZ crisisdienst (mental health crisis intervention team)
Arrange urgent psychiatric care if needed

The crisisdienst provides urgent psychiatric assessment and intervention when someone is in acute crisis but not in immediate danger.
Access is usually arranged via a GP or the huisartsenpost.
Crisis services are available 24/7 throughout the Netherlands.
